April in the lilipopo pattern club
I think all the stormy weather in March had an effect on my designing for the April pattern. It seemed as though the spring flowers were trying to come through in spite of the weather. To be honest, most of the time, there is no point to an umbrella in Cornwall. We never seem to get rain without wind so umbrellas are inside out more often than the right way around. But when I do see umbrellas they tend to be black which made me think wouldn’t it be so much nicer if all our umbrellas were beautiful colours.
So I created the umbrella of my dreams, full of flowers and leaves that attract the butterflies. On the whole this design is quite simple with quite a bit of satisfying running stitch rain and some colours to cheer your day
She is wearing a delicate floral blouse so plenty of flowers for those grey rainy days!
This month also marks a whole year of the lilipopo pattern club. I have been so excited to get to do so much designing and to share with my patreon members and I’m looking forward to continuing this over the next year with more adventures in video!
To celebrate this marker (and because I couldn’t choose!) I have released two patterns to the pattern club just for this month
I have a second pattern of two girls sharing an umbrella. This is a friendship pattern, one of my favourite themes. Lots more flowers to stitch on both the dresses and the umbrella.
The lilipopo pattern club is open to anyone. It costs £4 a month plus taxes so in the UK that is £4.80. You receive one pattern a month (normally) and there are tutorials, videos and hints and tips there too. I am always happy to answer stitchy questions over there too.
I will be creating a second price layer for people who prefer to use printed panels, hopefully next month or June.
If you have any questions about the pattern club please feel free to email me at lilipoposketches@gmail.com
Next week I will share my completed March stitch journal and share what I’m doing for April. I hope you have a lovely week with a little bit of time for some cosy stitching
