stitching and swimming and crochet
This week I decided that the lavender girl kits needed a spruce up so I ordered quite a few prints from Alice Caroline on Etsy and I’m gradually stitching them as test girls. I think I am going to show a few different possibilities for stitching them (hats in particular) so you can make them more your own and offer more fabric choices. At the moment I’m having a little difficulty getting all the threads but I’m sure I will be able to sort them all out soon. I’m really loving the grey and mustard dress, I really wasn’t sure about the fabric on the linen but once I added some stitching I loved it.
I have also been concentrating on the printed panels. I will have putting up the tree back in stock at the end of this week along with winter coffee as a new panel.
I am also stitching up sample panels for fairy garden and find the beauty. They need a couple of adjustments but should be available in a couple of weeks.
I ordered a beautiful stamp from The English Stamp Company it arrived so quickly and I love it. I have been stamping everything with it! All the envelopes I have been posting have had some lilipopo flowers stamped on them.
Cornwall is getting busier and it’s nice to feel that things are a little more normal although I did have to stand outside the dentist and have my temperature taken from a distance before I could go in for my check up. The sea keeps warming up for a day or two only to cool right back down again. Yesterday at 7 am it was beautiful, soft and warm and we were swimming under a waning moon, lovely. This morning it was completely different and very cold. I think that might be the appeal of sea swimming, it’s like a mini adventure every morning. We gave up our car years ago in order to be greener. Right now that can leave us feeling a little stuck in Penzance as we are not so keen to use the train as we would in normal times. So, in these strange groundhog days, our small swimming adventure keeps me balanced.
The other thing keeping me sane (possibly) is crocheting a blanket for A who is going off to London in September. It has grown since I last shared it (It keeps me warm in the evenings when I’m crocheting) but I don’t think it’s even quite half way yet. I’m a little worried about actually finishing it before she has to leave. I may have bitten off more than I can chew but I am determined.
I hope you have a lovely week with a little time for stitching or whatever keeps you calm.
