The Lilipopo monthly pattern club

It always takes me a little time to ease into the new year especially to be out here in the world so a little late Happy New Year!

I’m sitting at my desk listening to the rain and thinking January is possibly the most perfect stitching time of year. It always seems like such a quiet month but it can start to feel as though the grey (here in Cornwall) is never going to leave. So getting cosy with a cup of tea and some stitching is the perfect way to brighten the day up, especially all those colours of thread!

If you like the idea of having a simple stitching project on the go each month then my monthly pattern club might be just what you are looking for.

The pattern club is hosted on Patreon (a membership site). It works a little like a blog. On the first of each month I will a post with a new pattern and members receive an email from Patreon with a link to the post. I also add an extra post mid month that is usually some tips on stitching the month’s pattern.

The pattern stays up for that month and is replaced by the next month’s pattern on the first of the month. But don’t worry if you forget to download it, you can just message me and I will email the pattern to you.

The benefits

It’s a little cheaper than buying the patterns individually. The pattern club costs £4 per month plus any taxes (for example in the UK it would be £4.80 with VAT)

The patterns are initially only available in the pattern club and from this month they won’t be in my shop for at least three months.

It’s a surprise. After a vote I decided that most people wanted the patterns to be a surprise each month. A little gift to yourself :) So I don’t do any sneak peeks beforehand. Patreon members are the first to see the new pattern.

Monthly tips and tricks with the odd tutorial or even occasional video

You can ask me any questions and I will do my best to answer them or create a tutorial post on Patreon

The advantage for me is that I can spend time designing patterns every month thanks to my pattern club members. This of course is what I really want to be spending my time on.

I have also got to know some of my members a little better which helps me know how I can help, what you want to learn or might be having difficulties with. Also which types of patterns are your favourites.

At the moment all the patterns are designed for a six inch hoop (although you could enlarge the design for a bigger hoop). This means that they can be framed in a hoop or quite easily used as a panel in something like a cushion or bag or even framed in a square frame.

At the moment I only have one membership which is for a pdf pattern. However if you prefer to stitch the pre printed panels you can buy these a little later in the month by paying an extra £5 plus postage (£1.45 in the UK and £4.20 internationally). Again you would be saving a little on my Etsy shop prices.

To find the pattern once you have joined you need to log in on patreon and go to the lilipopo page. There you will find all the posts. The first of the month post will have the link to the pattern attached.

You can also search in the search bar for specific things for example if you want to see if there are any posts on split stitch just type split stitch in and you will see all the posts that include split stitch. If there isn’t a post then drop me a message about what you would like to know more about and I will add it to my list of posts to write.

If you like the idea of joining in then please pop over to my pattern club page where you can find details of how to join.

If you have any questions at all about the pattern club then please feel free to email me at lilipoposketches@gmail.com or you can contact me on instagram @lilipoposketches or on facebook

Now I am going to my sketchbook to work on the February pattern club pattern. I hope you have a lovely afternoon
